Shohei Ohtani continues to prove why he is the brightest star in Major League Baseball. After joining the Los Angeles Dodgers with a record 10-year, $700 million contract, Ohtani not only helped the team return to its peak but also contributed to two consecutive World Series championships.

In the 2025 season, Ohtani performed amazingly:
172 successful hits
55 home runs, ranked third in MLB
Batting percentage .282
Not only excelling at the position of batting, Ohtani also demonstrated his top-notch pitching ability with 14 appearances, 52 strikeouts and only allowed 15 runs throughout the season.
Ohtani’s most memorable moment came in Game 4 of the NLCS series against the Milwaukee Brewers. He hit three home runs and 10 strikeouts in six perfect innings – a historic performance that helped the Dodgers advance to the World Series.
That extraordinary achievement earned Shohei Ohtani the MLB “Legendary Moment of the Year 2025” award. He beat out four other impressive nominees, including Nick Kurtz’s four-home run hit, Jacob Young’s spectacular catch, Ohtani’s two-year streak of 50 home runs, and Cal Raleigh’s 60 home runs.
After that glorious triumph, Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers are looking ahead to the 2026 season with a big goal: to make a “three-peat” – winning three consecutive World Series championships. If successful, they will become the first team to do so since the New York Yankees in 1998–2000.
