Philadelphia — Amidst the busy season and high spirits, the Phillies have just received some heartwarming news: Zack Wheeler, the team’s star pitcher, and his wife, Dominique Wheeler, have officially welcomed their fourth child, a lovely baby girl named Goldie Wheeler.
The couple shared the news on social media this morning with the sweet caption:
“Welcome Goldie to the world 💕 We officially have a new little Phillies fan!”

The little announcement immediately filled the Phillies fan community with joy.
Zack Wheeler – a key pitcher and bullpen figure – is known not only for his impressive performance on the field but also for his unwavering love for his family. He and Dominique now have four children, and Wheeler says that each time he becomes a father, it’s a “new season of emotions.”
“Dominique is the MVP of my life,” Wheeler once shared. “She has sacrificed so much so that I can pursue my passion. Every time I see my kids smile, I feel more fortunate than any victory.”
The 35-year-old star is a devoted father. When he’s not on the mound, Wheeler spends most of his time with his family – taking them to school, playing ball in the backyard, and sometimes even dressing up mini Phillies jerseys for his little “fans.”
The good news spread quickly throughout the clubhouse, with many teammates and fans sending their congratulations on social media. Bryce Harper wrote:
“Congratulations Wheeler! Goldie is definitely the cutest little Phillies fan yet.”

Trea Turner joked:
“Another fan in the Wheeler household means one more person to scream when we win!”
The team also posted a cute picture of a tiny Phillies jersey with the words “Goldie – #1 Phillies Baby,” with the caption:
“A new member has just joined the big red and white family! Welcome Goldie Wheeler 💕”
The atmosphere was festive and friendly throughout the clubhouse – a testament to the close-knit culture the Phillies pride themselves on.
For Wheeler, becoming a father for the fourth time came at one of the most stable times of his career. After leading the team in ERA in 2025 and helping the Phillies advance deep into the postseason, Wheeler remained humble:
“All the accolades will pass, but holding my child in my arms – that is my greatest victory.”

Dominique, her partner since high school, also shared on Instagram that she “felt like my heart was bursting” when she saw Goldie for the first time. She wrote:
“Zack always said baseball taught him patience – being a father taught him unconditional love.”
Wheeler ended the announcement with a line that touched thousands of fans:
“Goldie will grow up with the cheers of Wrigley, the cheers of Citizens Bank Park, and the Phillies in every beat. Baby girl, you are already part of this red and white family.”
That wasn’t just for Goldie – it was a gentle shout-out to all the Phillies fans who’d been with Wheeler all along the way.
And amid the cheers from the field, in a small house in Philadelphia, a player smiled next to his wife and newborn baby — a reminder that sometimes, the sweetest victories aren’t on the scoreboard, but in the arms of family.
