Justin Dean, after being placed on the waiver list by the Dodgers and picked up by the Giants, posted an emotional Instagram post saying goodbye to “Blue”: “Thank you L.A. for changing my life!”

Throughout the season, Dean served as a defensive anchor – he stepped in to protect the lead when the team needed to keep the lead. In Game 6 of the World Series, a key moment occurred: when Addison Barger hit a hard ball into the gap, Dean quickly raised his arm to signal a “dead” ball, which helped keep the Dodgers’ lead in the decisive moment.
Although Dean’s appearances were limited – just 31 games, mostly as a baserunner or defensive replacement – his role was significant. In the finals, he helped control the defense, and at the Triple-A level, Dean performed well: hitting .289, with an OPS of .809, 6 home runs, and 33 RBIs.

Justin Dean closed out his time with the Dodgers with deep gratitude and humility: he may not have been a hero every game, but his contributions—especially in the run to the World Series—will be remembered.
