Houston, TX — Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs has reached another milestone in his already remarkable NFL career, officially joining the exclusive “900 Club” — a group of receivers who have recorded 900 career receptions. It’s a threshold that places Diggs among some of the greatest pass-catchers the league has ever seen, including Larry Fitzgerald, Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne.
Diggs, 30, hit the mark during Sunday’s matchup, continuing to showcase the consistency, route-running mastery, and competitive fire that have defined his career. For a player once drafted in the fifth round and overlooked early in his journey, the milestone serves as a powerful testament to his longevity and relentless work ethic.
“Nothing was ever handed to me,” Diggs said after the game. “Every catch, every yard — I had to grind for it. This milestone means a lot, but I’m still hungry. I’m not done.”
The accomplishment comes during Diggs’ first season with Houston, where he has stepped into a veteran leadership role alongside rising superstar quarterback C.J. Stroud. His presence has elevated the Texans’ passing game by giving Stroud a reliable, experienced target in key moments. Coaches and teammates have repeatedly praised Diggs not only for his production, but also for his intensity and preparation habits.
“You feel his energy every day,” Texans receiver Nico Collins said. “He pushes the whole room. That’s what great players do.”
Diggs’ journey to this point has been anything but ordinary. After making his name in Minnesota — highlighted by the iconic “Minneapolis Miracle” — he evolved into one of the league’s premier route runners in Buffalo. Now in Houston, he adds another chapter to a career built on consistency and big-game impact.
Statistically, he now stands alongside receivers who are either already enshrined in the Hall of Fame — or are considered near-locks to get there. If Diggs continues playing at his current level, 1,000 career catches is well within reach, and 10,000 career receiving yards is on the horizon.
For Diggs, though, the milestone is less about personal legacy and more about the next challenge.
“I appreciate it,” he said, “but I’m focused on winning. That’s the goal. Always.”
And that mentality may be exactly why he belongs in the elite company he just joined.
