Australian rugby star Troy Dargan has died at the age of 26 in a horrific motorbike crash on Christmas Day.

Troy Dargan was an Australian rugby star who played for the NRL. The 26-year-old went on a Christmas holiday with his family to the Cook Islands. But he sadly passed away in a “horrific motorbike accident”.
A statement from Aria Sports Group said: “On behalf of the Dargan family, we are deeply saddened to share the news of the tragic death of TJ (Troy Dargan’s nickname) overnight. He and his family were on holiday in the Cook Islands where TJ was involved in a motorbike accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”

News of Dargan’s death has left his colleagues in the rugby league community shocked and saddened. Star Josh Schuster posted on social media: “RIP brother, best mate”.

Rugby player James Schiller wrote: “RIP my brother. Love you so much”.

The Brisbane Broncos rugby club, for whom Troy Dargan played, also sent their condolences: “We are deeply saddened to hear of Troy Dargan’s passing… Our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and loved ones… He will always be part of the Broncos family”.
