Reese shone in Chicago despite the Sky finishing with a 10-34 record and occupying the second-last seed. Despite another strong year from the former LSU Tigers star, the Sky missed the playoffs again for a second consecutive year.

There’s no denying at this point that Reese is one of the brightest young stars in the league. The Sky had very high expectations for her when they selected her as the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, and it would be safe to say that the 6-foot-3 forward has been able to live up to the hype.

The Sky are clearly proud of their star’s latest achievement off the court. This comes amid the recent controversy surrounding Reese’s future with the team.

The All-Star forward insinuated in a September interview that she would be willing to leave Chicago if her objectives no longer aligned with the team’s, which did not sit well with the front office. Reese quickly apologized for her comments, but the team decided to punish her by benching her for one half.
