PITTSBURGH — The rivalry between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers took a fiery turn Sunday afternoon when Jalen Ramsey added some extra spice to an already dominant defensive performance.
With just under five minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Steelers were cruising to a 23–9 lead at Acrisure Stadium. On 3rd-and-8, Ramsey stormed off the edge and delivered a crushing sack on rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel
, who had already endured a long and painful afternoon against Pittsburgh’s relentless pass rush.
As Gabriel struggled to get back to his feet, Ramsey turned toward the Browns’ sideline and
pointed directly at backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders, shouting across the field for head coach Kevin Stefanski to “put him in!” The moment was captured on broadcast cameras and quickly went viral across social media.

Fans erupted online, with many calling it one of the most cold-blooded taunts of the NFL season. The video posted by MLFootball on X has already surpassed
2 million views, showing Ramsey gesturing toward Sanders as the Browns’ sideline reacted in disbelief.
It wasn’t just trash talk — it was symbolic. Sanders, the rookie QB from Colorado, was elevated to backup on Friday but has yet to take a snap in the NFL. Many Browns fans had called for him to replace Gabriel late in the game as the offense sputtered, but Stefanski stuck with his struggling starter.
Ramsey’s message seemed to echo what much of Cleveland’s fanbase was already shouting: “It’s time for Shedeur.”
Stefanski, however, downplayed the moment postgame, saying, “We were just trying to fight till the end.”
