A photo of Mark Zuckerberg from President Donald Trump‘s inauguration ceremony went viral on Monday, January 20. In the picture, the 40-year-old Meta CEO appeared to be looking down the shirt of reporter Lauren Sanchez. But in spite of any controversy, the tech mogul is not distancing himself from the fiancée of Jeff Bezos.
When Sanchez, 55, posted a new pic on Instagram on Wednesday, January 22, Zuckerberg “liked” the post, prompting many users of the app to comment.
“Mark Zuckerberg likes this,” wrote one follower. Another was a bit more explicit, writing, “Zuck staring at y’cans was so f***in funny.” Yet another Instagram user implied that the Facebook creator was lusting after Sanchez. “Zuckerberg wishes 🔥🔥🔥,” they commented.
The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account for online betting platform Polymarket weighed in on Zuckerberg’s marriage as a result of these interactions with Sanchez. “Mark Zuckerberg just liked Jeff Bezos’ wife’s Instagram photos… Odds he gets divorced this year are up to 11%,” they wrote.

The fiancée of the Amazon founder drew negative attention because of the white bustier-style top she wore to the inauguration, which conservative commentator Megyn Kelly said showed “no respect” for the occasion.
In addition to noting the interactions with Zuckerberg, several commenters used the post as an opportunity to criticize the inauguration look.
“Her inauguration outfit was highly inappropriate for a state event. Strange to say the least- doesn’t she have a stylist ???” asked one follower. Another agreed, writing, “usually love her outfits but the inauguration was a massive failure … the outfit looked trashy .. i think lauren usually has more class.” Another follower suggested that the former Extra reporter could have opted for the peach dress in the ceremony, rather than the controversial white top, writing, “Beautiful dress, this dress was better for inauguration.”
Still, some commenters encouraged Sanchez with positive comments about her outfit. “Please don’t pay attention to those haters. Your look was absolutely stunning at the inauguration ❤️ 🫂,” wrote one such commenter.
