Bella Hadid is sharing insight into her ongoing battle with Lyme disease.
The supermodel took to Instagram on Friday with some re-shares — including a quote reading, “When your chronic illness is chronic illness-ing and someone says ‘it’s always something with you’ like…yes…one might say the illness is…chronic.”
She also re-shared influencer Alexandra Wildeson’s post ‘ reading “The Duality of life with chronic illness.”
“The medical anxiety is soooooo real,” Hadid wrote atop the slide, tagging the post’s author.
“Thank you for putting every one of my thoughts and daily situations into one swipe. The truuuuuth!”
Hadid — who appeared to be struggling while carrying what she described as 50-pound wings at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last month — was diagnosed with the condition in 2013.
The Orebella perfume creator, 28, shared alarming photos from her hospital bed in September amid her years-long battle with the illness.
In photos, Hadid could be seen hooked up to an IV in a hospital bed. She was also pictured covering her mouth in distress and covering her forehead with a wrap while appearing flushed.
Hadid also shared snaps of herself in a Pikachu onesie and a pic of a late pizza dinner in her hospital bed.
A final snapshot showed the Frankies Bikinis model in the corner of an elevator while clutching a beverage. “I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys,” she captioned the Sept. 17 photos.
Mom Yolanda Hadid commented, “❤️ Lyme warrior,” while sister Gigi wrote, “I love you! I hope u feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!”
Yolanda also shared pics of her daughter from the hospital visit. In one snap, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum cradled Bella as she was in her hospital bed hooked up to an IV.
Another pic showed Bella wrapped head-to-toe with wet towels and hooked up to an oxygen machine and yet another showed a table covered with medications and supplies the model was taking to address her symptoms.
“🩷As you will understand watching my Bella struggle in silence, has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me,” Yolanda, 61, captioned the photos.
“The invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone. But my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer.”
Yolanda also praised her daughter’s “bravery” amid the health battle, adding that Bella had “learned how to exist inside the jail of [her] own paralyzed brain.”
Yolanda concluded her caption by writing that Bella is a “survivor” who will continue to “fight for better days” despite “countless setbacks.”
Yolanda, who has also been diagnosed with Lyme disease, revealed that Bella and Anwar Hadid, 26, had been previously diagnosed during an emotional speech in 2015.
“This award is for Anwar and Bella,” she said at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala.
“This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering.”
