Cardinals All-Star Alec Burleson and his wife have officially welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Braxton Andrew, marking what Burleson emotionally described as “the best hit of my life.”
Just hours after sharing the joyful news on social media, Burleson opened up about his hopes, dreams, and a vision that immediately sent Cardinals Nation buzzing: he wants his son to one day wear the iconic Birds on the Bat jersey.
“Every father dreams of seeing his kid chase their own passions,” Burleson said, his voice breaking with emotion. “But if Braxton grows up wanting to be a Cardinal — to stand right here where I’ve stood — I can’t think of anything more beautiful.”
The emotional post, which included touching photos of baby Braxton wrapped in a golf-themed blanket and Burleson cradling him in his arms, has quickly gone viral among Cardinals fans. Many praised Burleson not only for his on-field dedication but also for his deep connection to the city and its baseball heritage.
