The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off back-to-back World Series wins, are once again expected to shake up baseball by signing a top-tier player to replace Max Muncy. According to Fansided columnist Jake Elman, the likely target isn’t an outfield star, but Alex Bregman — a two-time World Series champion and three-time All-Star.

Muncy, 36, is in the final year of his contract and may not be a long-term option for the starting lineup.
Elman believes Bregman, who can play between infield positions, would be a key upgrade — especially on defense, as he was once awarded a Gold Glove at 3B.
The estimated cost of the deal is around $120 million, a huge number but not unreasonable given the Dodgers’ financial resources.
If Bregman joins, the Dodgers will continue to strengthen their super-powerful position, as they are aiming for a “three-peat” – 3 consecutive championship seasons.

This is just a prediction from analysts. The Dodgers currently hold Muncy with the team’s option for the 2026 season, according to a recent announcement.
Will this deal become a reality? If so, it will be the next bold step in the Dodgers’ strategy of “disrupting baseball”.
