Clayton Kershaw – one of the greatest legends in Los Angeles Dodgers history – has chosen to retire from the field after a glorious season, and it seems he is considering a new direction: broadcasting / television commentator. According to a Front Office Sports report cited by SI, sports networks have begun to “look” at Kershaw as a potential candidate for analyst positions after retirement.

Kershaw’s illustrious career – which includes three Cy Young wins, an MVP, multiple ERA titles and more than 3,000 “strikeouts” – makes him an attractive name for TV units. Some sources say he is “standing high on the list of TV analysts” due to his natural speaking ability, deep tactical understanding and undeniable charisma.
However, the possibility of Kershaw stepping right into that role remains open. While many networks are eager to sign him, insiders say Kershaw is prioritizing family time – especially now that he and wife Ellen are expecting their fifth child.
Some media observers believe that an analyst role would fit Kershaw’s down-to-earth, down-to-earth image. “He mic’d up a lot during his playing days, and would probably enjoy sharing his perspective,” one TV executive commented.

On the other hand, some sources still believe Kershaw could opt to “step away from the field entirely” – much like Derek Jeter did after his playing career: not rushing into a job, but prioritizing family and work-life balance.
While his future plans have not been officially announced, one thing is clear: the TV door is not closed to Kershaw. If he chooses this path, fans will witness the Dodgers legend not only through his pitching, but also through his profound and experienced analysis of baseball – a “new” version of Kershaw, but still very sincere and influential.
