The Cowboys celebrated “Homecoming” with a dominant 44-22 win over the Commanders, elevating their record to .500.

ARLINGTON, Texas — With more than 20 former Dallas Cowboys on hand, the current Cowboys put on a show in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders.

The Cowboys (3-3-1) climbed back to .500 thanks to a dominant,44-22 , victory over their division rival.

The celebration started before the game when the likes of Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith, Tony Dorsett, Charles Haley, Drew Pearson, Dez Bryant, Cliff Harris and many others were honored as part of the Cowboys “Homecoming” on Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

The group of icons, Hall of Famers, and fan favorites witnessed quite the spectacle.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott continued to build his MVP case with another strong performance:  21-for-30, 264 yards, 3 passing touchdowns.

The return of Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb (5 receptions, 110 yards, TD), in conjunction with wideout George Pickens (4 receptions, 82 yards), provided an additional boost to an already high-performing offense.

Cowboys running back Javonte Williams (19 carries, 116 yards, TD) continued his head-turning season on the ground.

The league’s top-ranked offense was unstoppable. And the Cowboys defense, for a change, stepped up.

With the Commanders down their top two receivers (Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel) due to injury, the Cowboys defense took advantage of a depleted Washington attack.

Dallas recorded four sacks and added two takeaways, including an interception returned for a touchdown by cornerback Daron Bland.

The first Commanders’ turnover was a fumble by quarterback Jayden Daniels — forced by Cowboys rookie linebacker Shemar James and recovered by veteran Jadeveon Clowney. Daniels was injured on the play and did not return to the game.

Not to be forgotten, Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey added a trio of field goals, including one from 61 yards — setting the record for most career 60+ yard field goals (5) in NFL history.

Offense. Defense. Special teams. It was an all-three-phase victory for the Cowboys as they remain unbeaten at home (2-0-1) in 2025.

Up next: the Cowboys visit the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
