Absolute mayhem unfolded at UFC 322.
Amid the wild fighting inside the octagon at Madison Square Garden, another fight broke out cage-side.
Training partner of Conor McGregor and jiu-jitsu world champion Dillon Danis got into a wild brawl with members of Saturday’s main event headliner team, Islam Makhachev.
Danis took several punches to the back of the head that appeared to be thrown by Magomed Zaynukov during the exchange, while UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell, among other security officials, attempted to break up the spat.
Danis had to be apprehended by security.
UFC President Dana White revealed at the post-fight press conference that Danis was not invited to the event on behalf of the promotion; he bought a ticket.
The initial problem started when Danis was moving around seats and beginning to sit in different seats.
White was livid with Danis in the post-fight press conference.
“Dillon Danis will never be at a UFC event ever again,” White said, adding that this is a lifetime ban.
When asked whether Danis would have an opportunity to fight for the promotion, he immediately threw cold water on it.
“[He starts trouble] among a lot of other things,” White added.
White also said that he alerted that Danis was around when former welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal confronted him, saying he was going to fight Danis.
White adds that he should have stepped in when Masvidal said that, knowing that there was previous tension between Danis and Makhachev’s team.
During the confrontation, one of Danis’ red shoes was even sent flying, which he appeared to retrieve at the end of the brawl.
Abubakar Nurmagomedov, cousin of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, appeared to be involved in the chaos as well.
There has been a long-standing beef between these two parties.
Danis has previously been a training partner of UFC star Conor McGregor.
After McGregor was submitted by Khabib at UFC 229, Khabib ripped his mouthguard out and threw it at Danis, before jumping over the fence and igniting an infamous brawl that was absolute chaos as well.
McGregor and Danis were in-part antagonists of the beef, which also involved the many members of the Nurmagomedov family, Makhachev, and even agents of the two fighters.
Danis is not a UFC fighter; rather, he’s been fighting for regional promotions in an attempt to get a shot at the UFC.
He previously told The Post that he was in constant contact wth the UFC about coming to the promotion.
