Pattie Mallette and Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber’s mum sparks concern with cryptic prayer for her struggling son’s ‘healing’ and ‘protection’.
Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, has shared a prayer of “healing” and “protection” for her son after it was revealed that he’s headlining Coachella next year.
Taking to Instagram, Pattie shared that she is always praying for Justin and called for the Holy Spirit to “surround him with truth, light and protection.”
“We’re cheering you on and praying for you always, Justin,” Pattie wrote. “I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin. Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain—be broken in Jesus’ name.
“Holy Spirit, surround him with TRUTH, LIGHT, and PROTECTION. HEAL EVERY WOUND in his heart, mind and body, seen and unseen, restore what’s been stolen, and cover him in WHOLENESS. Fill him to OVERFLOWING with Your LOVE and COMFORT.”
She also asked that “voices” that do not come from God be silenced: “Continue to raise him up as a voice for Your Kingdom, unshaken and on fire for You Lord. Silence every voice that doesn’t come from You, and let his life be a bold witness of Your power, love, and healing grace.”
The message comes after months of worrying behaviour from the Canadian singer. He sparked concern amongst fans with several social media posts, including one dishevelled post in which the singer hinted at a “detox” and another in see-through underwear. In June, fans were also worried for Justin’s mental state as a series of Father’s Day posts saw the singer rant about being “exhausted” and featured a picture of him holding what appeared to be a mostly smoked joint.
Some fans jumped into the comments of Pattie’s post to ask if Justin was okay, but others reassured them that this was just her way of congratulating her son.
Justin has recently made history by securing a record-breaking deal to headline Coachella in April 2026. The Sorry superstar is cashing in a paycheck of more than $10 million (£7.3 million), making him the highest-paid performer in the event’s history. This followed the successful release of not one, but two albums this year – Swag and Swag II, released in July and September respectively.
An insider said: “Between headlining Coachella and the success of Swag, it’s clear this is the start of an exciting new era for Justin — one where he’s fully in the driver’s seat… It’s a groundbreaking move for a headliner, and it’s something he built entirely on his own.”
His new material has been released without assistance from an agent. This means Justin also won’t be handing over a chunk of the Coachella fee to an agent, which leaves him with one of the most lucrative festival deals ever struck.
