Two seasons ago, Hill led the league in receiving yards and touchdowns in his second season with the Miami Dolphins. Now, he is slated to miss a significant portion of this season as he recovers from this devastating injury.
Before the injury, Hill had six catches for 67 yards and was on pace for his best game of the year.
His injury comes amid ongoing speculation about a potential trade with the Steelers.
A new image shows Hill’s leg in a severe and stomach-turning position following the injury.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver was carted off the field after an incredible start to their Monday Night Football clash with the Jets.
Hill had recorded six catches for 67 yards and was on track for a strong performance following Miami’s 0-3 start. He was tackled and forced out of bounds after completing a catch in the third quarter, with the defensive play causing his leg to twist awkwardly underneath him.
He rolled over onto his back, with his leg visibly hanging off his knee in an unnatural position.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins believe Hill suffered a dislocated knee. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, but his season is likely over.
