PR expert Lynn Carratt has shared her insights on the state visit and its implications for the Firm’s public image with the Daily Express US. Trump’s visit was reportedly so successful that he now wishes to return the favour by extending an invite to Charles and Camilla in the US for a state visit in 2026 with rumours that the Sussexes’ may also be welcomed along.

Ahead of the visit, it seemed Trump was hoping some of the Royal Family’s prestige would reflect positively on him during his UK stay, and it seemed to have worked, with the US President behaving in an unusually restrained fashion and delivering his state banquet address with surprising eloquence.

While Trump did not mention Prince Harry in his gratitude speech, Carratt claims this was just because Harry and Meghan were not in attendance, the Express reports.

Carratt, Director of E20 Communications Carratt said: “While the state visit wasn’t without controversy, it did appear to go well from the side of the Royal Family and without a doubt helped to improve UK-US relations and the public stage has been reset.”
