Fans of Poison and the Pittsburgh Steelers are in for a special treat during the NFL team’s upcoming game.
On Oct. 26, the Butler County-born rock star, Bret Michaels, will perform during the game’s halftime.
Michaels took to Facebook to announce the news to his fanbase, and the Pittsburgh Steelers site also confirmed the news.
“My friends, I am so excited to be back in Pittsburgh,” Michaels said in the Facebook video. “It’s gonna be nothing but a good time at halftime on NBC Sunday Night football. … We’re gonna bring the party.”
As the halftime break is pretty limited, Michaels also shared that he and his band were working on recording a live track for him to sing along to and would also make time to bring military personnel and those with diabetes on stage to “party” with him.
“We’re gonna bring all of our diabetic friends, all of our unbelievable military, active duty, and veterans, as I am a diabetic and son of a veteran, to join me on stage,” Michaels said. “We’re gonna make this special.”
Michaels was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was a child.
Michaels did something similar with military personnel during his 2024 “Pardi Gras” show at the Hollywood Casino and again in June 2025.
Michaels is most known for his time as a member of the Mechanicsburg-formed band, Poison. While the group hasn’t performed together in years, Michaels still sings the band’s hits from the 1908s, like “Talk Dirty To Me” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.
The game will kick off at 8:20 p.m., with the Steelers playing against the Green Bay Packers.
