Mel Gibson has finally shattered years of silence, revealing that the making of The Passion of the Christ was shadowed by events so disturbing that, even now, he claims they defy explanation.
In a rare, emotionally charged interview, Gibson admitted, “What happened on that set was not normal. To this day, no one can explain it.” His words have reignited a storm of speculation around one of the most controversial films ever made.

From the first weeks of filming in Matera, Italy, the atmosphere reportedly felt wrong. Crew members whispered about sudden temperature drops, equipment failing without cause, and an oppressive stillness that would settle moments before filming the most brutal scenes.

Then came the lightning. Jim Caviezel, portraying Jesus, was struck not once but twice during production—surviving against all odds. To many on set, it no longer felt like coincidence. Some crew members refused to work certain scenes, claiming they felt watched, as if an unseen presence lingered just beyond the cameras.
