Today, the Toronto Blue Jays announced a decision that shocked the baseball world: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the team’s bright star, signed a 14-year contract extension worth $500 million, officially becoming a permanent player of this team.
At this price, Guerrero Jr.’s contract is one of the largest in Major League Baseball history, second only to Juan Soto’s $765 million contract and Shohei Ohtani’s $700 million contract.
