The New England Patriots suffered a tough setback in their win over the Cincinnati Bengals, losing two key offensive starters to injuries in the second half. Head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t hide his concern after the game, saying, “We’ll evaluate everything tomorrow. It’s a big loss when you lose guys like that.”
Quarterback Drake Maye echoed the worry but kept the team-focused mentality: “Those guys mean a lot to us. But this is the NFL — whoever steps in has to be ready.”
The injuries forced New England to adjust their entire approach on third downs and in the red zone, where the offense noticeably struggled without its top pieces. According to internal expectations, at least one injury could lead to extended time out, putting serious pressure on the Patriots as the season ramps up.
Official updates are expected within the next 24 hours.
