Marjorie Taylor Greene says ‘powerful men are being protected’ over Epstein files
Marjorie Taylor Greene made her first-ever appearance on The View on Monday and was asked about the release of the Epstein files

Marjorie Taylor Greene, while appearing on ABC’s The View, praised the increased “calling out” of the government and reiterated her unexpected stance as she discussed the delayed release of the Epstein files, and slammed her own party.
The 51-year-old Georgia congresswoman, once a staunch ally of President Donald Trump, made her debut appearance on the show on Nov. 4, marking a historic moment.
Greene, who has since claimed that MAGA influencers were paid to “attack” her after her appearance, expressed that women in the GOP were “sick and tired” of the treatment they receive from their male counterparts, and she also touched on other contentious issues–including the Epstein list.
Greene joined Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, sharing her views on a range of pressing issues, including the ongoing government shutdown, as well as economic and foreign policies.
She then turned to the Epstein list – which has not been publicly released yet despite many Americans demanding the administration to fulfill a campaign promise to do so, reports the Mirror US.

Haines brought up the topic, questioning what was being shielded, as Republicans have maintained that the president’s name does not appear in them in a way that implicates him in any misconduct, yet they have largely resisted the release.
“I have no idea, but it seems like very rich and powerful men are being protected,” Greene responded.
“And I will sign anyone’s resolution, and I will get onboard with anyone’s push to release these files as this is about women,” she continued. “They were teenagers, victims of rape and sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein, and according to the victims, there is a list of men that they have not released yet as they are afraid of lawsuits.”
Greene went on to explain that unsealing the documents would serve as advocacy for all survivors of sexual exploitation.

“…I also think this is about all victims of human trafficking, children that are being molested or raped,” she said. “Men or women who are in some sort of sexual abuse situation. What does the government say to them if they will not release the information on the most famous convicted pedophile in history? What is that message back? It’s horrendous.”
Epstein faced arrest in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges spanning New York and Florida, but was discovered dead in his prison cell just one month afterward. Authorities determined his death resulted from suicide by hanging.
The controversy over connections to Epstein has created consequences for some of the world’s most influential figures, including Prince Andrew, who recently lost all his remaining Royal designations, including his HRH title; he is now referred to simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Trump’s own connection with Epstein, which reportedly concluded in the early 2000s, has faced intense examination after his name appeared on flight records for Epstein’s private aircraft, and a correspondence containing an explicit sketch of a female figure that was part of a birthday compilation for the former financier surfaced.

Greene additionally revealed during her time on The View that she believed the shortage of identities from the documents being made public represented a governmental failure overall, noting that although Trump had pledged to make them available, previous administrations had similarly refused to release them throughout the years.
“You know what else?” she said. “This has been a failure across the administrations. It was the Biden administration, then Trump then Obama. It should have been released!”.
