Toosii publicly committed to play football at Syracuse University (the “Orange”) in the 2026 season.
In a social-media post, he wrote: “COMMITTED … For every kid who ever had a dream, make it reality. God’s will is the way …” and said when coach Fran Brown Jr. called, that “felt like a sign from God.”

Toosii was born in Syracuse, New York, before moving with his family to North Carolina around age 12.
He played high school football at Rolesville High School (in North Carolina) as a wide receiver and kick returner.
He’s said his decision to return to football is part of pursuing a longtime dream: he previously posted (in August 2025) that he wanted to be the “first multi-platinum recording artist to go back to school and play Division I football.”

It hasn’t been publicly confirmed whether Toosii will join the team with a football scholarship or as a walk-on. While he received interest from several schools (including a reported offer from Sacramento State, and visits to Duke University and University of Maryland, College Park), he ultimately chose his hometown Syracuse.

Toosii’s announcement comes after a successful music career: he has multiple gold and platinum records, and his 2023 hit Favorite Song charted in the Billboard Hot 100.
