Prince Harry’s upcoming trip to London on September 8 for the WellChild Awards is drawing attention as it could mark the beginning of reconciliation with his father, King Charles. According to royal experts, this potential reunion is not only significant for Harry but also places Meghan Markle in a position where she may have to make a very difficult choice about her role and her children.
It has been reported that communication lines have opened between Harry’s team and Buckingham Palace, raising hopes for a private meeting between father and son. This would be the first time the pair have been in the same room since Charles’s cancer diagnosis in February 2024. Experts suggest such a meeting could create opportunities for healing but also difficult conversations between Harry and Meghan.
Meghan has previously admitted she struggles when apart from her children, Archie and Lilibet. In the second season of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, she revealed that spending nearly three weeks away from them left her feeling “not well,” a period believed to have been around Queen Elizabeth II’s death in 2022.
