After a meeting lasting nearly an hour with his father at Clarence House, Prince Harry is said to have laid the groundwork for bringing his wife and children back to Britain next year, after more than three years apart.

A royal source revealed that the king wants to be close to Archie and Lilibet. The last time he saw them was in June 2022, when Harry and his wife returned to London for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Since the children were born, Charles has only met Lilibet once and Archie a few times.
The conversation on September 10 is considered the first step for Harry to “reset” his relationship with his family and the British people after prolonged tensions over “Megxit” and the memoir Spare . According to the source, Harry confirmed that he would not reveal details of the meeting to the press and asked his team to keep the information confidential.
Meanwhile, whether Meghan will return to the UK or not is still a question mark, as she has not set foot in her husband’s homeland since the late Queen’s funeral in 2022.

After the meeting, Harry appeared at an Invictus Games event in a relaxed mood, confirming that King Charles III’s condition was “excellent” . He also humorously apologized to guests for being late due to traffic jams in London.
Harry’s four-day trip to the UK is also associated with charitable activities: from presenting the WellChild Awards, announcing a donation of more than £1.1 million to disadvantaged children, visiting a landmine injury research center and announcing a $500,000 grant to support injured children in Gaza and Ukraine.
However, William did not attend the meeting with his father and brother, despite reportedly knowing about it in advance. Observers say there are still many obstacles before the relationship within the royal family can truly heal, but this is an “important first step” on that journey.
