Prime Minister Starmer’s office criticized Musk for using “dangerous and inflammatory language” when speaking to hundreds of thousands of far-right protesters in the UK.
“Britain is a fair, tolerant and decent country, so what the British people don’t care about is this kind of dangerous and inflammatory language, which threatens violence and intimidation on our streets,” British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office spokesman said on September 15, referring to Elon Musk’s speech at a far-right protest in London over the weekend.

Speaking online to hundreds of thousands of protesters, Musk called for the dissolution of the British parliament and the replacement of the government led by Prime Minister Starmer’s Labour Party. The American billionaire also warned of “violence coming”, “resist or die”.
Musk said the uncontrolled mass migration into the UK was destroying the country, criticizing Prime Minister Starmer’s government for “failing to protect its people”, when that was its basic duty.
Ed Davey, leader of Britain’s Liberal Democrats, the third-largest party in parliament, called on Prime Minister Starmer to condemn Musk’s efforts to “sow discord, incite violence on the streets” and interfere with British democracy.
“One should consider the sanctions that Musk will face,” Mr. Davey said.
British officials said that between 110,000 and 150,000 people attended the far-right protest over the weekend, far exceeding the organizers’ estimates. Many extremists then clashed with police, injuring 26 officers. London police on September 15 charged eight people with assault and disorder.
Elon Musk has been outspoken about his views on British politics. He has attacked the UK’s Online Safety Act 2023, saying it threatens freedom of speech. He has also repeatedly criticized the UK government for what he believes is a lenient approach to migrant sex offenders.
