New England Patriots star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is at the center of a legal firestorm as he battles accusations from influencer and stylist Chris Blake Griffith — allegations Diggs calls “outrageous, false, and career-damaging.” The saga has now escalated into dueling lawsuits, turning a private encounter from 2023 into one of the most talked-about scandals of 2025.
Diggs initiated the legal fight on October 1, 2025, filing a defamation lawsuit that claims Griffith invented accusations for attention and personal gain. In the filing, Diggs insists the influencer’s public stories — which include claims of drugging, attempted sexual assault, and a conspiracy to cover up the event — are entirely “fabricated.” He says the allegations have “severely impacted” his reputation, brand partnerships, and standing in the NFL, prompting him to seek damages and attorneys’ fees.
But Griffith is not only refusing to back down — he’s escalating. In a multi-count countersuit, he accuses Diggs of sexual battery, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, conspiracy, and defamation. Griffith claims that during a May 22, 2023 visit to Diggs’ Maryland home, he was offered candy that he believes was drugged. He alleges Diggs exposed his genitals, attempted to kiss him, and made unwanted sexual advances as Griffith became disoriented.
The countersuit goes further, alleging that about a week later, Griffith was physically assaulted by individuals he claims were connected to Diggs, including the NFL star’s brother. He says this was part of a larger effort to silence him after the first alleged incident.
Diggs’ version is dramatically different. According to his lawsuit, after attending a charity basketball event and a club outing with influencers, Griffith voluntarily joined him at his home — but Diggs says he went to bed early, leaving an assistant to ask Griffith to leave the property. Diggs maintains that nothing inappropriate ever occurred.
The situation erupted publicly in August when Griffith posted about the alleged assault on Instagram, tagging major brands and celebrities while accusing Diggs of predatory behavior. The posts went viral, prompting widespread discussion — and, eventually, Diggs’ legal response.
Now, with both sides trading detailed and conflicting claims, the case is set to become one of the most high-profile athlete-influencer legal battles in recent memory. As filings continue and witnesses prepare to be called, one thing is clear: this showdown is far from over, and the fallout could reshape both men’s futures.
