The night had already turned magical long before the topic of babies came up. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were sitting on the balcony of their Nashville home, wrapped in a blanket big enough for two, watching city lights flicker like fireflies below. The football season was winding down, Taylor’s tour was finally on pause, and for the first time in months, the world felt still.
Then Travis, with that half-grin he always wore when he was nervous, broke the silence.
“Can I ask you something kinda crazy?” he said.
Taylor arched an eyebrow. “Travis Kelce? Nervous? Now *that’s* crazy.”
He took a breath. “Have you ever thought about… what we’d name a kid someday?”
Taylor didn’t laugh. She didn’t tease him. She just stared, eyes wide, as if someone had flipped a spotlight onto the one dream she’d kept tucked away.
“You’re serious?” she whispered.
“More serious than fourth-and-goal with five seconds left.”
That was when Taylor pulled her phone from her pocket — and revealed something even Travis didn’t expect.
“I’ve had a list,” she said softly. “A long one. Since before we even—” She stopped, cheeks turning pink.
“A list?” Travis leaned forward. “Show me.”
She opened the notes app titled: *Future Magic.*
Inside were dozens of names — some whimsical, some classic, some unmistakably Swiftian.
**Rowan. Marigold. Ryder. Ever. Juliet. Arrow. Holden. Lark. Scout.**
Travis laughed. “You really are the queen of fantasy worlds.”
But then he scrolled again — and found one name with a star beside it.
**“Kellan.”**
“Why that one?” Travis asked.
Taylor smiled. “It sounds strong… but gentle. Like someone who grows into whoever they want to be.”
Travis swallowed hard. “I love that.”
Then he stunned *her*.
“I’ve got a name too,” he said. “One I’ve never told anyone.”
He pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his wallet — a scrap he’d carried for years. On it was a single name:
**“Reverie.”**
Taylor gasped. “Dream.”
“Yeah,” he said. “Because you’re the best one I ever had.”
For a moment they didn’t speak. The night wrapped around them. The future didn’t feel so far away anymore.
They weren’t picking names.
Not officially.
Not yet.
But they were dreaming — together.
And sometimes, that’s where every life-changing story begins.
