Virginia Giuffre, who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, said she’s gone into kidney renal failure and has been given “four days to live” after a serious car crash.
Virginia Giuffre is sharing some heartbreaking news.
The 41-year-old—an alleged victim of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein who also accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse—says she’s on death’s door following a car crash.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure,” Virginia captioned a March 30 Instagram post, which showed her laying on a hospital bed with a bruised face. “They’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology.”
“I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time,” she continued, referencing her three kids with estranged husband Robert Giuffre. “But you know what they say about wishes. S–T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s–t at the end of the day.”
According to Virginia, her medical ordeal came after her car collided with a school bus driving at nearly 70 miles per hour.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year, but I won’t bore anyone with the details,” she wrote. “I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can.”
Virginia added to her followers, “Thank you all for being the wonderful people of the world and for being a great part of my life. Godbless you all.”
No other details about the crash—including when or where it occured—were been given. However, her spokesperson Dini von Mueffing confirmed to BBC that it was a “serious” collision, with Virginia “receiving medical care in the hospital.”
Per the outlet, Virginia recently broke up with her husband after 22 years of marriage and has been living in North Perth, Australia.
News of Virginia’s condition comes five years after Jeffrey—a financier accused of sex trafficking teenage girls, including Virginia, to members of his elite social circle—died by apparent suicide at age 66 while awaiting trial on his charges. (His confidant Ghislaine Maxwell, 63, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in the scheme.)
Virginia alleged she was trafficked by Epstein to his friend Prince Andrew—the younger brother of King Charles III and the second oldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II—when she was underage. In 2021, she filed a lawsuit against the royal, who has denied any wrongdoing.
She and Andrew—who stepped back from his duties as a senior royal in 2019 amid the sexual abuse allegations—reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022. Details of their settlement have never been revealed, though a letter from Andrew’s counsel acknowledging that Virginia “has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks” was published.
“Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms. Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others,” read the letter, which was attached in a court filing and obtained by NBC News at the time. “He pledges to demonstrate his regret for his association with Epstein by supporting the fight against the evils of sex trafficking, and by supporting its victims.”
