Salute and give a huge “Ahoy!” to Captain Dua Lipa, whose fashion choices have sailed their way straight into our hearts and next, our wardrobes. Her latest offerings — a knit, gold co-ord and a bright blue bikini — have firmly docked themselves as a sea-worthy style moment, and we couldn’t be happier for its arrival.
Our fave popstar girlie is back on her Future Nostalgia tour, which means we’ve been getting fed with tons of her globetrotting get-ups. First, we got to see Dua nail a Y2K, glittery cowgirl look, and a sunny bra set in Argentina. Our eyes were then blessed by her brown satin going-out gown in Colombia and Indiana Jones-inspired, bikercore jacket in Mexico. Then, Lipa laid low in NYC before rocking a pair of pantaboots, serving ’90s excellence, and stirring up romance rumors with Trevor Noah. Dua went on the move again, attending an award ceremony in London, visiting family wearing pierced (yes, pierced) UGG boots, and giving the fashionista version of The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift in Japan. Now, the “Sweetest Pie” songstress has landed in Australia where it is currently springtime and sunnier than ever, as showcased by her snatched swimming and yachting ‘fits.
Leaving the cold weather behind, Dua went for a boat ride in Auckland wearing a gold crochet set from Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2023 collection. The set featured a long, knee-length cardigan and flared pants trimmed with bead-embellished, metallic fringe. A crescent moon necklace from Marine Serre fashioned into a belly chain and Moya Jewellry’s Daniela Belt wrap around Dua’s waist, partially hiding the singer’s gold barbell navel ring. The moon charm shape is mirrored in Dua’s large, drop charm earrings from Marine Serre. Alan Crocetti’s Mascot Necklace, chunky rings, amber-framed oversized shades by Lu Goldie, strappy black sandals, and Givenchy’s G-Hobo leather bag in black completed the ’70s yacht club-inspired outfit.
After her trip at sea, Dua decided to take a dip in a spa-like plunge pool. In her November 2 Instagram story, Lipa is seen getting ready to take a leap-a of faith into the water, testing the temperature with her hand and wearing a cerulean blue swimsuit. The bra-style bikini top features spaghetti straps and a ruched back that matches the waist details on Dua’s bottoms. The singer’s signature long, brunette locks were tied up in a high messy bun, giving off beachy babe vibes.
